Think of an Italian hill top town and Cisternino fits that description. Even the Italians think it special and have listed it as one of the best small towns in Italy. ‘Uno dei borghi più belli d’Italia’ says the sign outside the town. This is certainly because of the position and the architecture, the food, the people, what’s on all year round and the happy combination of all these.

With that experience we would like to transmit the tradition about food culture and the pleasure of the nature all around this awesome place: Ostuni, Locorotondo, Alberobello, Polignano a mare.

We will visit some small local companies producing:

. olive oil: aromatic, extra vergine, biologic

. wine: Cantus, Opera, Canzone, Notturno

. cheese: fiordilatte, giuncata, pecorino, caciocavallo, mozzarella

We’ll try to make Orecchiette (type of pasta native to Apulia, whose shape resembles a small ear) with local people and we will take a tour by mountain bike, by horse and by boat.

Cisternino is just a five minute drive away from all our trulli, with its beautiful whitewashed old town and its local market.
